These treatments can be added to a session or booked alone. Note: all cause visible bruising lasting up to two weeks.
They help relieve chronic muscle tension, knots, and pain by boosting circulation to targeted areas to support healing.
Cupping: Suction cups lift muscle and tissue, leaving circular bruises. Color depth indicates the level of stagnation.
Gua Sha: A flat-edged tool is used to repetitively scrape the skin along muscle fibers and pathways to promote healing.
Cambodian Coining: Similar to Gua Sha but uses a small coin with more pressure. Considered more invasive than Gua Sha as it is often very painful. Ideal for chronic upper body issues (e.g., chest tightness), as it targets the intercostal muscles.
I use balms and oils such as monkey balm and white flower oil during these treatments. Please let me know if you have any skin allergies or scent sensitivities when booking.
Aftercare: Please bring a jacket or sweater to your session. Bruises must stay covered for at minimum 24 hours. It is advised avoiding cold environments, cold showers, A/C, and wind. Rest afterward is essential; schedule treatments when you can go home and relax for the rest of the day.
